My plan is to evolve the site so that we can stay connected as a community year round. It may seem counterintuitive, but I feel that's the only way to make Naplwrimo sustainable. After this month's challenge I'm going to do some planning for the next year. I'm thinking in December that we'll do some check-ins and have some brainstorming sessions on the site and maybe through Google hangout about moving forward. And celebrating the community that we're bulding and the work that we've accomplished this year as writers. It's the holidays after all.

As far as uploading what you're working on - "upload your play here when it's done even if you didn't make it"- I'd like to try having people upload their plays via blog posts. I think everyone can write a blog post through your profile. (I better check that out, but I think you can). You can attach documents throught the post. If that doesn't work, I can add a category for sharing work.

I think Elizabeth and I had talked about this being an ongoing thing for the rest of the year as well, but we haven't really talked in depth about it.  There really is no reason why we couldn't add a section where we can all still post to each other beyond this month. If anyone else is interested, it could happen!

I wonder if I can at least get to 30 pages by the end of the month... that would feel good, and it's less than ten pages away.

A loftier goal would be to finish Act 1 by the end of the month. But knowing how this month has been, the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim.

I wish there were a way for us to connect beyond this month to keep up on everyone's updates... revisions for those who have or will finish, and how the draft is coming along for people like me who haven't quite made it yet. :)  Or an "upload your play here when it's done even if you didn't make it" section of the site.

By the way, I think the deadline for next year's Playwright Week at the Lark is the 30th... what better way to celebrate the end of Naplwrimo than by submitting a play somewhere? :)
