November 5

We are a species that needs and wants to understand who we are. Sheep lice do not seem to share this longing, which is one reason why they write so little.
Anne Lamott

It's so great to not be a sheep louse, isn't it? I mean, in general, lice are tough little buggers: (from wikipedia): Adult and nymphal lice can survive on sheep-shearers' moccasins for up to 10 days, but microwaving the footwear for five minutes in a plastic bag will kill the lice.

So I guess there's something to be said for them, but really, what must it be like, just chewing and sucking all day as your only purpose?

I'm happy to be a writer today, plain and simple.

How are you guys doing today?

I got nothing done yesterday. I had a headache and it took me forever to feel up to walking to the store to pick up my migraine prescription. Then I wanted to go to the gym once I felt better but they were just about ready to close. I feel so far behind now. But it's ok. Hopefully later tonight I'll have something to report in the weekly check-in thread. We'll see.

and I was doing yoga on a bridge, while buzzing in my head. I didn't fully understand, why I always get blocked after 3 pages. It's always so. Usually I'm like a child, who needs to get rewarded by her 3 pages in order for me to continue (spoiled brat). At least back in Drama writing courses I got that reward after first 3 pages and it helped me get going, but within years, it gets worse, 'cause writing has become my biggest friend.

But I came here, have got tons of advises from your page and I think I have gotten my reward.
