Brave New World (working title)

Hello to all,

I've participated in naplwrimo for years, but never focused enough to finish a draft in the month of November, and so that's my goal this year. At the moment, I've gone back to school to study Technical Production at Sheridan College in Oakville, about 30 mins outside Toronto. The past few years, I've focused more on being a technician and stage manager, and although I've found a lot of creativity in these jobs, I've missed writing. So here I am, absolutely determined to see it through till the end of the month with a really great play idea I'm absolutely in love with!

It's Brave New World, a working title, and its about the dismantling of The Theatre in the winter of 1598 (when the lease ran out) and the moving of the timbers over the frozen Thames to build The Globe which opened in the summer of 1599.

Happy to be back, and determined to finish!

Or stage-technicians. Only the idea gives lots of space-poetic, which is fascinating already itself.
This is like creating magical-realism only it's almost completely realistic. Wonderful!

Awesome. We really do seem to have a lot of historical or based-on-real-event plays this year. :) Mine is too, but much MUCH more modern. I also haven't been able to finish the last two years because of being in school. It will happen this time.
