Day 22: Monday, November 22
If I am quoting Tom Hanks (who is my least favorite American actor, but that's something else entirely), it must be good!
We are not everyone, Rhinos. Not everyone takes a moment to realize, YES, I need to do this, and actually follow through. There are LOTS of people who talk about being a writer, wishing they had the time, etc., and YOU ALL stopped talking and started making the time and are doing it!
"We have done the impossible, and that makes us mighty." Captain Malcolm Reynolds, FireflyI counter the Tom Hanks with a quote from my favorite captain of Serenity, on the show, Firefly.
To some, writing seems impossible, and we are doing it. That, therefore makes us mighty. Whether we are Browncoats temporarily holding off the Alliance at Serenity Valley in Firefly, or we're writers coming to the desk everyday, we are doing the impossible, and that makes us mighty. We are doing something hard, and that's what makes it great.
So what hard, impossible, mighty, and great thing have you done today?

Going out tonight to write in a cafe. The place where it all began aka "the scene of the crime." Still at 54.
But you know, it's true.
:) I am glad you got some inspiration from a fellow writer/actor. being around those types usually helps. :)
Not so impossible but personally challenging: Got up WAY early to do a video shoot (with no craft services, thank you very much - oh the difficulties of non-union work), but took the opportunity on the long ride back to talk shop with the driver who is also an actor-playwright. Discussing our respective projects got me psyched up for an afternoon of writing! I was also able to clarify (or discover weaknesses in) my plot structure by trying to articulate it out loud.
