Hello, Rhinos, and welcome to the second to the last Saturday of NaPlWriMo 2010! I trust it's treating you well. Here's the second in the series I posted yesterday about the seven deadly sins of writing, and this one is a bit tougher, but it's a good one (bad one?) nonetheless.

The Second Consequence of Screenwriting: Pride

Pride can lead to all sorts of problems. When you are prideful, you can come up with the idea that you are SO GOOD that you don't need to improve.

This is wrong. There is ALWAYS room for improvement. This is why it's always good to be humble--but not humble that you think you don't deserve praise. Notice a pattern here? BALANCE is the key!

I do hope, however, you are proud of your progress, and post it here!

I am off wednesday. I would love to do some writing with you (well, you know, at the same time since we're in different parts of the country). Let me know a time that's good for you. Keep in mind I am in central time and I will work early the next day at 6:30, which is not the earliest i go to work, but you know...

Yep. I'm on page 52. I need to dig in and get more done. This isn't about guilt. This is just realistic given my deadline (have a read through in December). So I see a marathon night or day in my future. Anyone want to join me?
