Creating Characters: Use the Family
Hello, Rhino! Day 17! Whooo, whooooo!!!
The above like takes you to The Script Lab. It's a website I recently discovered through twitter and I haven't had a lot of time to comb through it, but the above like caught my eye and I went over and looked at it and thought y'all could use this maybe.
Keep in mind, basing characters on family members CAN cause problems. I don't think anyone would sue exactly, but then again, who knows. It might make family reunions and weddings awkward though. But it's a thought, and anything goes.
I hope things are going well. We are winding down into the last couple weeks. How are things going?

I've been stuck on 42, but then again, my life was eaten by the end of the vacation and by work. I did want to come home and write something last night, but I will keep it tucked into my brain, and work on it later. While I am at work today, I will do some thinking about why the end of the first act might be difficult and might get you stuck--maybe it's because you should have all your questions raised by then and then figure out how to answer them? Just a guess.
I had a reading of the 1st act of the tree play in September. The week before I was writing and writing and writing and every time I did a page count I was on the same page - 46.
Wonder if there's something about heading into the end of the first act?
Apparently I like this page number. I got back from vacation and hit the ground running with work, so I have been mostly doing that. I have been doing a lot of thinking about my play, so that's gotta count for something. I do have about three more scenes in mind for this play, and then I will have to start worrying if it doesn't get me closer to 75 pages. I am off the day before and the day of thanksgiving, so, inbetween cooking things, I will be doing a lot of writing!
