Welcome back !

Here we are.... same place, new site.

As you can see NaPlWriMo got a spa treatment. But more importantly, we have a whole new platform to run on. This nifty platform called Drupal allows you to log on once to the site and navigate the entire site as well as forums without ever having to log back in ! In other words, the site is now integrated ! And I started going to graduate school at the California Institute of Integral Studies, so I am all about integration these days...

And... it's not likely to break !!!

I want to thank all of you who responded to our fundraising plea and helped the dream of this new site come true. All your names will soon be listed in a special section in the community area (the Rhino Den we call it).

I am also incredibly grateful to Greg Bear for making it all happen and teaching me how to use the site via Skype. Yes, because he is in Seattle and I am in San Francisco now. It's all so web 2.0 isn't it ?

But...

Naplwrimo being Naplwrimo , as you make your way around the site, you will see that much of it is still under construction. I am updating pages as fast as I can, transferring play archives and building the forums.

So... in the next few weeks, you'll see the site evolve and change a bit and new information being added.

At this time, however, you are able to create a permanent account and create your own NaplWrimo corner. Just click on create an account in the sidebar, there on your right. If you've participated in previous years, please go ahead and add the drafts of your previous Naplwrimo plays. I am working on an FAQ page on how to navigate and make best use of the site, but frankly, if you poke around, you'll figure it out pretty quick. It will never be as hard as the past 2 years were !

The forums aren't quite ready yet, so if you can hold off on using them, that would be great until we have them ready to go and I'll make an announcement about that as soon as we're done.

I'll be back soon with more updates on what the site offers and what will be happening in November around here. I mean... aside from fastidious and furious playwriting, which of course, will remain our main focus.

We're not going to let the shiny pretty site distract us from that, right ?!

Okay people, that's all I've got at the moment.

I am sleep deprived, behind on homework and its only October 15th!; The good news is... I might actually wake up rested on November 1st and be ready to begin writing, because everything else will already be handled.

I am beaming with excitement and pride right now. The site is so pretty.. I love it I love it I love it!

Okay... back to the coding monkeys cave. I was told I was being awfully peppy since I've moved to California, but... can I help it ? It so sunny here...
