55 pages is great though. You're only 20 pages from winning this thing. 20 pages is nothing! Go!

Amy, good luck to you. My thoughts are with you and your poor computer. That SUCKS. But keep going, girl! You can make it!

I'm at 31 pages, so I'm a little more than halfway done (in theory).  Which is good, considering the month if more than halfway done (ulp).

Ireland Corner, NY (AP) Rumors out of Cork County Hospital state that the critically ill Brigid Kildare may be showing signs of life. Hints of "laptop, schmaptop" and "you know, if I write seven pages a day I can still make it by the 30th" have been buzzing around the hospital as Brigid and her story lay in a computer-induced coma. No word yet on whether Kildare's creator, Amy Peterson, is up for the task, but sources close to the playwright say after a midday half bottle of wine and embarrassing teary fit she seems to be edging close to the zone. Will Brigid emerge from her coma, limping along on a slow, shared desktop and supplementing with legal pads to win NaPlWriMo? "That courtroom scene was getting pretty heavy handed anyway," an anonymous source told the AP. "Maybe we'll have to start again but it could come out better than ever. Let's hope Brigid Kildare has all the fire inside of her legends and takes her vitamins.

Ireland Corner, NY (AP)  Brigid Kildare was taken to Cork County Technology Hospital this morning in critical condition after suffering a massive meltdown that obscured her story, her talent, and the path of her continuation from view. Commonly known as computer death, her dwelling woke to the morning with the cryptic message "Manufacturing Mode Level 67" and was unable to be revived. While it's possible to reverse computer death, Kildare's prospects for winning the annual NaPlWriMo sound very grim. When asked about the possibility of starting the journey over from the beginning, creator Amy Peterson reportedly beat her head on the press conference podium. More in the late editions as this story continues.
