Naked Playwriting: The Art, The Craft, And The Life Laid Bare by William Missouri Downs and Robin U. Russin

It's what I read in bed these nights. I read for the narrative. With the first play in the series I tried to do their French scenes and their layout and while it was reasonably helpful exercise I found myself reverting to the methods I always use for character and plot (thought my plotting is not exactly what you'd call a method.)

They have some inspiring words about myth and story and lots of grassroots helpful advice to get it told on stage. Plus it's a joy, when people ask what I'm reading, to say the title aloud.
